Advanced formation for supervision, teaching, and leadership
Supervisory Education is an advanced level of Clinical Pastoral Education designed for individuals who are called to teach, mentor, supervise, and develop future chaplains and spiritual care providers.
Students engage in a structured process of learning how to facilitate group learning, provide clinical supervision, evaluate student development, and integrate theory, theology, reflective practice, and educational leadership.
Program Structure
Certificate: SEC 600-900
Length: Four courses/units
Hours: 400 hours per course; 1,600 total program hours
Focus: Supervision, teaching, facilitation, evaluation, and leadership

What is Supervisory Education?
Supervisory Education prepares qualified professionals to become educators and supervisors in clinical pastoral education. Students learn to guide others through reflective practice, clinical learning, pastoral formation, and professional development.
The program supports growth in supervision theory, teaching practice, group facilitation, theological reflection, evaluation, ethics, leadership, and the development of a personal model of supervision.
